TOUR DETAILS
DAY 1: BUENOS AIRES

Arriving at the International Airport Ministro Pistarini (Ezeiza). Reception and transfer by private service to the hotel.
The rest of the day free. Depending on the time of arrival we recommend taking any of the optional excursions. 
In the evening you will attend a Dinner Show at one of the best tango houses in Buenos Aires, a restaurant of International standard, with an exquisite dinner. You will experience an unforgettable evening.

 
DAY 2: BUENOS AIRES / EL CALAFATE 
(Return Airfare Included)

After breakfast we will transfer to the international Jorge Newbery airport for the flight to Calafate. 
Arrival and welcome at the international airport of El Calafate, subsequent transfer to the hotel, afternoon Free.

 

DAY 3: EL CALAFATE

Breakfast, and then by bus from El Calafate to the Perito Moreno Glacier, which is ±82 km, travelling the last 30km on a gravel road to the National Park Los Glaciers. 
You will be able to see the typical Patagonian steppe, with its important variety of birds, especially the black-necked swans and flamingos. The yellow fields of Coiron grasses, which provide the unique colour and give the grasslands of Patagonia their character.

The Los Glaciers National Park is located in the southwest of the Province of Santa Cruz. A blanket of ice covers this protected area of 600,000 hectares.

Among the 356 glaciers, is the Perito Moreno, with a 4 mile front and a height of more than 180 feet above water level. It is famous worldwide for its rupture process. Rupture occurs when the front of the glacier reaches the coastal margin, closes the passage of the waters from Brazo Rico and produces a dam effect where the water rises some 20 meters.

The last rupture was in March, 2004. The show is never-ending. You can watch the detachment of ice blocks of different sizes from a short distance, hear the roaring they produce, and then watch them turned into wonderful floating icebergs. A unique experience is walking on the glaciers or to see the front of another great glacier, the Upsala from Lake Argentino.

 
DAY 4: EL CALAFATE

Breakfast, and subsequent departure to the impressive La Estancia Patagonian Alice, located just 22 km outside the town of El Calafate, on the way to Perito Moreno glacier and on the shores of Lake Argentino. There you will be greeted with delicious tea, coffee, hot chocolate, mate accompanied by sweet dough and Homemade breads. 

Then we go to the old shearing shed to find out how a typical Patagonian Stay is handled regard sheep ranching. A brief overview and demonstration of sheep shearing, followed by the leash of sheep by dog kelpies. This is a job done by professionals.

Afterwards you will take a walk to the Lagoon of the Birds, nature reserve. Here you will be able to observe wild birds. We may also visit the ancient indigenous manage, where Archaeologists from the University of La Plata have made important discoveries on the culture of Argentina’s ancestors. 
Lunch will be a delicious lamb grill, accompanied by beef, Sausages and chicken, buffet style with garden salads and homemade desserts. 
Then there will be folk dancing, with songs and dances typical of Argentina and Patagonia. 
Afterward return to El Calafate and a night of rest.

 
DAY 5: EL CALAFATE / BUENOS AIRES

After Breakfast, you will transfer to the airport for the flight that will take us to the city of Buenos Aires. On arrival at George Newbery Airport in Buenos Aires, you will be met and transferred to the hotel, lodging, the rest of the day free.

 

DAY 6: BUENOS AIRES

After breakfast you will depart on the City Tour of Buenos Aires, discovering the beauty of its Civic Centre. 
You will begin with the elegant Recoleta, one of the most exclusive neighbourhoods of the city. There you will see the famous cemetery, chic boutiques and restaurants, outdoor cafes under the trees (gomeros) and from there to The Plaza de Mayo and Government House (Casa Rosada). 
Then you will visit the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Cabildo. A must see visit to the Teatro Colon, one of the jewels of the world as far as Opera is concerned and the cultural pride of Buenos Aires. The visit also includes the traditional neighbourhood of San Telmo whose magical atmosphere will take you back in time. 
Then stop in the Boca where the first Italian immigrants were established and famous for its colourful Architecture. 
Finally visit the district of Puerto Madero, which is in the centre of Buenos Aires. Here you will find many top level restaurants. 

In the evening you will attend a Dinner Show at one of the best tango houses in the city of Buenos Aires, a place where the spectacle of this sensuous dance that originated in Argentina will inspire you to dance. The show will be accompanied by an exquisite dinner, and you will spend an unforgettable evening.

  
DAY 7: BUENOS AIRES

After Breakfast you will transfer to visit a typical Argentine Estancia where you will savour empanadas and enjoy a barbecue accompanied by exquisite native Argentinean wines. There you will enjoy folk music, dance and Tango Argentino with a demonstration of Gaucho ring racing and may try horseback riding or carriage (sulky) if you like. 
The Estancia is just 90 km from the city of Buenos Aires. An unforgettable day! In the afternoon return to the hotel.

  
DAY 8. BUENOS AIRES

After Breakfast, you will transfer to the International Airport Ministro Pistarini.
